Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) Service (DEADLINE: May 1, 2026 by 5:00pm)

The Transportation Authority of Calhoun County is seeking proposals for the purchase and implementation of current state-of-the-art ITS technology on all Ride Calhoun vehicles to support paratransit, microtransit, and fixed route services.   

All questions must be submitted via email to purchasing@battlecreekmi.gov, no later than 11:59 p.m. on April 10, 2026.  All questions will be answered via an addendum issued no later than April 27, 2026.  Proposers must acknowledge any addenda issued. (Posted 3/20/26)

The Transportation Authority of Calhoun County is seeking Insurance/Broker services for Property & Casualty, and Employee Benefits.  Proposers may offer one or both solutions.  Please review the RFP for submission requirements, including required clauses, certifications, and document submission.

PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

Transportation Authority of Calhoun County (TACC)

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Transportation Authority of Calhoun County (TACC) will hold a regular meeting of the Board of Directors on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 5:30pm at Ride Calhoun Administrative Offices, 49 South Cass Street, Battle Creek, MI 49037.  This meeting includes proposed amendments to the Transportation Authority of Calhoun County Bylaws.

NOTICE OF DEVELOPMENT AND SUBMITTAL OF APPLICATIONS FOR FY 2027
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION FUNDS TO THE MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (MDOT)

Each year, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) provides an opportunity for eligible, qualified non-profit organizations that serve senior citizens and persons with disabilities in Calhoun County to apply for State funding to support their transportation programs.  Funds provided through the Specialized Services program and the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities (Section 5310) program support operating costs and purchase costs of vehicles and equipment.

If you are interested in learning more about whether your organization would qualify for this funding, Ride Calhoun is available to provide information and answer any questions on these State programs, the application process, application timelines, and other program requirements.
