Fares shown include full and reduced options. Riders may qualify for a reduced fare if they are 60 or older, a person with a disability, a veteran, or a resident within the TACC service area.

On-Demand Rides

Welcome to RC FLEX, our On-Demand Ride service for area residents. Use the app or call dispatch and we’ll pick you up and get you where you want to go.

Rides are provided primarily by our fleet of minivans and fares depend on the distance of your journey.

Book a Ride

Our RC Flex service is currently operating under the BCGo platform. As public transit providers in Calhoun County merge services, our On-Demand program will evolve, and a new fare structure will be adopted in the coming months.

The vehicle that picks you up will be branded as either BCGo or RC FLEX.

How to Book a Ride

To access the services, you’ll need to download the BCGo Calhoun County App from the App Store or Google Play Store. Individuals who do not have access to a smartphone can still book a ride by calling our dispatch office at 269-966-3474.

Please note that the app accountholder must be 18 years or older. Anyone over the age of 13 years old can use the service, independently, with legal consent from a parent or guardian.

Information Needed to Book a Trip

  1. Name, address and phone number.
  2. The date of the trip.
  3. The origin, destination, and desired time of pick-up. (Encourage customers to schedule their return trip at the same time they make their initial trip reservation.) Specific information on which building and/or entrance they wish to use.
  4. Any special needs they may have, such as a mobility device, visual impairment, etc.
Fares

Fare for services are displayed on the App at the time of booking. Fares are charged based on the miles of the trip.

Users can pay by credit card at the time of booking or by cash when boarding the vehicle. Operators cannot make change and do not carry cash. Failure to pay for services when they become due and payable will entitle us to cancel the booking and/or refuse transportation to the customer.

Estimated Windows

Once the vehicle arrives, it cannot wait more than five minutes before proceeding to the next booked customer.

Changes to Booking/Cancels

Trips can be canceled through the BCGo app or by calling Dispatch.

If a trip is canceled more than 60 minutes ahead of the scheduled pick up time, customer will be refunded in full. If the trip is canceled less than 60 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time, or Customer does not show up during their estimated window, they will not be refunded their fare.

Children Travel Policy

Children must be at least 8 years of age and not require the use of child restraints, including car seats or booster seats, to be eligible to use the service. All children, regardless of age, must be able to be safely secured by standard safety belts. Passengers under the age of 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Multiple Passengers

There is a $3 fee for each additional passengers accompanying the User.

Use of Seat Belts

Seat belts are required for all passengers when using the service.

Wheelchair Securement

All mobility devices must be secured to the floor of the vehicle during transportation. Passengers may not unsecure their mobility devices while the vehicle is in motion. Operators will secure all mobility devices.

Users are required to wear lap and shoulder restraints. Operators will assist User with securing these restraints.

Passengers who fail to comply with this policy may be denied transportation, in accordance with ADA regulations.

Portable Oxygen

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), passengers are permitted to travel with and use portable oxygen equipment on Ride Calhoun vehicles. For the safety of all riders, portable oxygen tanks must be stowed and secured.

Service Animals

Service animals are welcome on all RC FLEX vehicles. Users traveling with a Service Animal must indicate during the booking process the animal type and number of Service Animals accompanying the User.

Food and Drink

Passengers may not eat, drink, or smoke on any Ride Calhoun vehicles. Drinks in sealed containers are allowed. Open containers and open alcohol are prohibited.

Grocery Bags

Grocery bags, laundry baskets, and other items are limited to what is under your control, and can be loaded or unloaded in one trip. The driver cannot help you carry items on or off the vehicle, and all items should fit on your lap or at your feet.

Bikes

RC FLEX cannot accommodate bicycles at this time
